On 25 May between 13:30 and 15:00, there will be a live webinar as an extension of our special issue “Experiencing the City”  that was published on IJERPH.

In this webinar, selected authors of the special issue will present their papers and future work, with a focus on methods: Virtual Reality, Geoinformatics, and Mixed method surveys.

Speakers:

Bernd Resch is an Associate Professor at University of Salzburg’s Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University (USA). He will present “Wearable Sensing and Mixed-methods Approaches for Urban Analysis”.

Amit Birenboim, PhD, is a senior lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Geography and Human Environment at Tel Aviv University where he also acts as the head of the Urban Vitality Lab. He will present “Studying the influence of urban environments on walking and cycling experiences using immersive virtual environments”.

Märit Jansson is an Associate Professor at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). She will present “Sharing a park? How to create inclusive urban open spaces for all ages”.

Minou Weijs – Perrée and Pauline Van den Berg are both Assistant Professor at the Real Estate Management and Urban Development Group at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). They will present “The influence of urban park attributes on user preferences: Evaluation of virtual parks in an online stated-choice experiment”.
