Investing in the Chinese housing market? – a market survey of Chinese housing investment possibilities for foreign institutional investors

The objective of the research is to determine if foreign institutional investors should invest in Chinese housing considering their investment decision profile, investors’ needs and the opportunities within this market by creating a user-friendly decision tool. This research provides further an investment strategy that includes in which investment vehicle, which target group, and which cities investors should invest. The research paper focuses on investment interest of institutional investors: pension funds and insurance companies and focuses on the housing market in the urban area of Chinese provinces and their major prosperous cities only.
